So, I think I'm going to start migrating my stuff over to Fur Affinity. I've been a lurker there for ages, so I guess its about time I uploaded my stuff there; and recent events here have really soured me about DA. I'll still read my messages and such, but IDK if I'll post new work here or not. I'll not be deleting my account here either, for history's sake. I made a lot of friends here, in my 14+ years, and made a lot of progress on my art here too, so I'd like to keep the story of my journey here to look back on. I'm tired DA
Every time DA makes some new "thing" and claims its to inspire creativity and inclusivity, but then only covers one aspect of art, I just feel tired. Like, ah I see, this shit again. Take for instance this DA Collective thing, why are most of the chosen artists digital artist that make the same sort of art? There was one dude who does sculpting and that was it. Where are the craft artists, those who sew, knit, make plushies or fursuits, those who make paper craft? Where are the traditional artist like painters and sketch artists? Where are the surreal and abstract artists? I just feel like DA only cares about the art that can be marketed these days. So much for creativity and inclusivity. Also just to add, I mean no shade to the artists. They're all very talented, this isn't about them as individuals or their skills. Its about the shitty choices DA has made recently.
